For organizers
What does it cost to start?
Nothing upfront with pay as you sell. You commit to 200 cards in 30 days, and only cover our half on unsold cards if you fall short. Or buy an activation pack upfront, from $12.50 down to $8.50 a card at 1,000 and up. See pricing and activation packs.
Do we have to find the businesses?
No. You pick from local businesses we've already signed, and we'll reach out to any favorites you want added.
How long does it take to launch?
Most groups go live about 10 days after signing up, once the card design and deals are ready.
Can we set it up ourselves?
Yes. You can create your organization, invite members and pick your discounts on your own, or our team can set everything up with you.
How do members sell?
Every member gets a personal link to text, post or email. Each sale is credited to them automatically and shows on the leaderboard.
Is there a limit to how many cards we can sell?
No. Digital cards never run out, so you can keep selling as long as you like.
For supporters
Do I need to download an app?
No. After you pay, tap Add to Apple Wallet and the card is saved. The Tailgate Cards app is available if you want it.
How do I use the card?
Open Apple Wallet at a partner business and show the card at checkout.
I bought a printed card. How do I activate it?
Scan the code on the card or visit tailgatecards.com, pay to activate, and the card is saved to your phone.
How long is the card good for?
Cards stay active for 12 months.
Can I buy a card for someone else?
Yes. You can gift cards and send them by text.
I got a new phone. Is my card gone?
No. Your card is saved to your phone number, so you can get it back anytime. Contact support if you need help.
Money and payouts
How much does our group keep?
$12.50 of every $25 card, a straight 50/50 split.
When do we get paid?
Monthly, by direct deposit to your group's bank account. Every sale shows on your dashboard in real time.
Do we handle any money?
No. Supporters pay online or when they activate a printed card, so there's no cash or checks to collect.
For businesses
What does it cost to be on the card?
Nothing. Joining as a partner business is free.
What kind of offer should we give?
Anything that brings people in: a percentage off, a free add on or a special perk. We'll help you pick one.
